About this property

An outstanding barn conversion located in the undulating countryside just 6.5 miles from Porthleven, the southernmost port town in the whole of the United Kingdom. Perfectly placed for discovering Cornwall's north and south coasts, the reverse-level barn features a stylish kitchen/diner, a cosy lounge and a landscaped garden with a hot tub. It is the ideal base for an active group keen to explore the Cornish coast and countryside.

The two-storey barn is set off a narrow country road that winds its way through lush green countryside between Porkellis and Lezerea. It is finished to an exceptional standard, with contemporary soft furnishings thoughtfully arranged around bright and welcoming rooms upstairs and down. After passing through the welcoming entrance hall, guests will find an en-suite twin bedroom (this zip and link bed can be made into a super king on request) with bi-fold doors leading directly out into the raised terrace. An en-suite double bedroom with ample storage space is also found at this end of the barn. Stairs lead down into an open-plan kitchen/diner complete with a breakfast bar and country styling; it's an inviting space with bespoke vaulted ceilings and garden access via bi-fold doors. The cosy lounge area boasts comfortable sofas across from a wood burner and Smart TV. A handy utility room is located down the hallway, and it's only a short hop from there to an en-suite king-size bedroom with a bespoke vaulted ceiling and ample storage space. The enclosed garden has been landscaped with Cornish stone and includes a sunken seating area, patio terrace and hot tub. Private parking for up to three cars on the driveway is also available.

Walkers and cyclists are spoilt for choice, with miles of footpaths, trails and lanes to be found in the area surrounding the barn. For longer days out, Porthleven (6.5 miles) has a bustling town, harbour area and beach, while the shores at Gwithian (7.5 miles) stretch as far as the eye can see.

A wonderful cottage in a great location in Cornwall. You really feel like you are out in the countryside as the property faces rolling hills and is very quiet outside but also located closley to shops and plenty of walks and beaches. The property has been finished to a high standard and is comfortable and welcoming. Living area was cosy and we liked the open plan layout allowing us to enjoy cooking together and snuggle up around the log burner. Underfloor heating was welcomed in the winter weather and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Would definitely return, possibly in the summer to enjoy the lovely garden and bifold doors.
