Moonlight Cottage is highly praised for its cleanliness, peaceful and quiet rural setting, and well-equipped facilities. Guests appreciate the thoughtful touches from the owners and the property's convenience for exploring Norfolk and the Broads. While some minor issues with dated furniture and a tricky heating system are mentioned, the overall sentiment is extremely positive, with many guests planning to return.
Guests consistently note the cottage as 'spotlessly clean', indicating a very high standard of cleanliness. This is a recurring compliment across multiple reviews, suggesting that cleanliness is a priority for the property.
The location is described as peaceful, quiet, and ideal for a getaway, with easy access to local attractions and amenities. The rural setting and proximity to the Norfolk Broads are particularly appreciated, although one mention of traffic issues on a specific day suggests some minor accessibility concerns.
The cottage is generally regarded as comfortable, with several reviews highlighting the peaceful environment conducive to relaxation. However, there are a few comments about dated furniture and an uncomfortable sofa bed, which slightly detract from the overall comfort score.
Facilities are well-regarded, with mentions of a well-equipped kitchen and additional amenities like a washing machine and dishwasher. Some reviews, however, point out issues with the heating system and dated furniture, indicating room for improvement in maintenance and modernisation.
Several reviews mention thoughtful gestures such as fresh flowers and a welcome cake, which contribute to a welcoming atmosphere. While these gifts are warmly received, it should be noted that such personal touches, though likely, are not guaranteed for every stay.

The owners were on hand if there were any problems but there were none we have been before on 2 occasions so we knew it was nice hope to return again next year in spring or summer all being well.

The cottage had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The garden has lots of room to play and the tyre swing was a hit with our daughter. Owner was very helpful with local suggestions. As with much of Norfolk mobile signal is patchy and the WiFi is slow/intermittent for anything other than basic browsing so would suggest downloading anything you want prior to arrival or taking some games/DVDâs in case of a rainy day.

The owners are great, making sure we settled in OK. The location is good - we particularly enjoyed the ready access to the Bure Valley Trial for traffic free cycling.
