Plenty of parking space for 2 cars and a camper van. Great sized house for 5 adults and 3 teenagers (who appreciated the upstairs games room), while downstairs there were comfortable sofas and large dining table with plenty of space for everyone to sit. Storage options were good in each room (although no wardrobe in the downstairs bedroom) and the shoe area in the entrance porch was handy, as was the large double hall cupboard which had plenty of hanging space for coats.\r\n\r\nThe kitchen was a lovely size and it was great to have extra space at the small table and breakfast bar and the double oven was fab for cooking for eight people. The house file contained very clear information with lots of suggestions for the area and the keys were very clearly labelled.\r\n\r\nGreat outdoor seating and some garden games which got used between the showers! There was also a BBQ but sadly the weather wasnât nice enough to make use of this.\r\n\r\nNiggles:\r\nThe tap on the kitchen sink had to be turned on very carefully otherwise you got soaked each time you used it. A washing up bowl would also be useful. Kettle needs to be descaled. A large featured skylight in the lounge gives it lots of light and airiness and the unit has everything you could ask for, including a beautiful, spacious kitchen, dishwasher and a combination washer/dryer, and for me, a luxurious tub, to spend a very comfortable and cozy week there. \r\n\r\nWe also enjoyed use of the full service, but unpretentious, health club and punished ourselves with a couple of grueling spinning classes. My husband also surprised me on my birthday with the most fabulous massage by Elaine, whom I highly recommend for anyone who needs a little TLC. And, although we didn't use them, there's also a full service hair salon and a sports medicine therapist on the premises, so it's a nice way of booking services you might need without leaving the grounds. The area feels like it's out in the countryside, but a decent sized full service shopping center, including a large Waitrose is less than five minutes drive away. I was âworking form the Dreyâ for a couple of days and the Wi-Fi is absolutely fine. We had a little issue one day with a tripped circuit outside of the cottage, but had very prompt response from the contact and it was fixed within 10 minutes. In fact communication before and during the stay was excellent. The location is lovely and quiet and even in December it was amazing to hear the wildlife and birds. \r\n\r\nAgree that more effort could possibly be put in to providing recycling - we took ours home.\r\n\r\nOh, and the towels are amazingly fluffy and cozy. There is a restaurant with a bar in Hook village which was about 20 minutes walk, but not something to do at night as there are no street lights or pavements. I do think this needs to be made clear. \r\nTwo features that were slightly frustrating was a very stiff tap on the bathroom sink which made a dreadful noise when using it. This needs to be sorted ASAP.\r\nSofa by back door had a unpleasant smell.also no keys to open patio door to lounge.\r\nAlso downstairs on suite has drainage smell. \r\nI feel awful to complain about these things but they do need sorting. It would be a perfect stay otherwise.
