The binder with instructions on the various devices was very useful. Kitchen worked as it should but it could do with a large frying pan. The shower was overall good but we found that the boiler would lose pressure every few days so we just increased the pressure for a couple of seconds until the needle got to the recommended mark and the shower would then contintue to run warm/hot. The shower head is a little stiff but that's more down to the hard water so if someone has tried to adjust the jet then it might not lock in place and hence water shoots through the top and wets the bathroom, fan in bathroom wasn't working but not an issue. Main double bed is on the firm side which initially isn't ab issue but on the last two nights we started to feel it so might be an issue for some. The bunk room is only suitable for primary aged children which wasn't an issue for us though. The chill out room is great for kids to play, stairs are a little steep and exposed at the top but a toy box covered that part and wasnt an issue but others would need to be aware if they have smaller children. Cottage generally clean, just a few cob webs in bathroom corners but otherwise clean duvets are showing their age and could do with replacing. The small front garden isn't enclosed but that's stated on the site but gets the sun during the day which is good. It would be helpful to include in the property description that the lounge is upstairs - this is not currently in the listing (I re-checked) and we may have thought twice about booking had we known, as we travelled with elderly parents who struggle with stairs. The sofa was quite low and soft which again, made it difficult for the older members of our party. There were plenty of items in the property to provide entertainment (both indoor and outdoor) which is throughtful, plus a folder full of detailed local information. Seat covers for all the hard chairs when seated for meals. There needs to be a proviso that the drive cannot take 3 large cars. This would cause a potential risk of accident as it would jut out on to the road. Long drive to anywhere of interest along narrow twisting lanes for miles. Craig who met and us on arrival proved to be a very good and always on hand when needed. Overall a pleasurable three day stay.
