Bluebell Cottage in Stratford-upon-Avon offers a charming and cosy stay with a blend of historic character and modern conveniences. Guests appreciate the property's warmth, cleanliness, and proximity to local attractions. While some guests mention issues with maintenance and comfort, the overall experience is enhanced by thoughtful touches and a welcoming atmosphere.
Reviews are mixed regarding cleanliness. While some guests found the cottage spotless, others reported issues with mould, unclean showers, and general filth. The property seems to require more consistent deep cleaning to meet the expectations of all guests.
The location is highly praised for its proximity to Anne Hathaway's Cottage and the ease of walking into town. The quiet setting and availability of off-street parking add to the appeal, making it an excellent base for exploring Stratford-upon-Avon.
Comfort receives positive remarks for a cosy atmosphere and a comfortable bed by some, but others mention an uncomfortable mattress and issues with temperature control. The steep staircase may be a concern for some guests.
Facilities are generally well-received, with mentions of a well-equipped kitchen and appreciated modern amenities. However, there are reports of maintenance issues such as a leaking chimney, problematic toilet flush, and a washing machine incident, suggesting room for improvement.
Guests mention welcome treats such as Prosecco, chocolates, and even dog treats, indicating a level of thoughtfulness. However, as these gifts are not guaranteed for every stay, future guests should consider them a delightful bonus rather than an expectation.

It was very cosy and clean. It was interesting experiencing a 17th Century cottage but with all mod cons. The situation of the cottage was excellent as we could walk into Stratford on Avon in 20 minutes on footpaths. The wonderful Anne Hathaway's Cottage was just down the road. The only reason I have marked the maintenance section down is that the toilet flush valve kept getting stuck.

Cosy and adequately equipped.
